FlowLogic Platform Modules

The essential central part of the FlowLogic system is responsible for the logical arrangement of incoming data, postal pre-processing, enveloping and waiting for data and its control. Several logics can be accomplished side by side during the processing stage, as a result, different systems, different companies and part of it different types of documents can be processed in various ways.

The core module of FlowLogic guarantees high performance needed for processing and is ready to receive many standardized data types.

The key to FlowLogic’s efficiency is the centralized layout module which creates the layout of the required documents. The document layout can be formatted and modified quickly and easily, and a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) tool is also there to facilitate this task.

Data input, layout design, maintenance generation of OMR and barcodes are all part of FlowLogic’s Layout&Streaming module. Embedding graphic elements, defining dynamic and static text blocks and other contents are being handled, of course by the support of suitable highlight colours and colour graphic. The module offers high processing performance, supports the creation of dynamic documents and several input-output formats (pdf, pcl, afp, ipds, PostScript, xml, etc.)

After having the layout created and formatted, the Layout&Streaming module takes over the job. It is responsible for the efficient creation of documents in a large scale, no matter if they are mass, individual or interactive documents. Standalone units of the module are PReS and its convenient graphical user interface, PReS Designer. They are used by more than 4000 customers worldwide to quickly and easily develop document layouts and decrease company expenses.

Based on information coming from CRM, the Marketing modul of FlowLogic supports generation of marketing messages tailored for an effective target group or for a certain person (white space marketing). It delivers data needed for processing, helping to decide to which documents which marketing messages or attachments has to be connected.

Messages stored in the marketing system and the corresponding conditions are read by the plugin solution of the processing procedure developed for this purpose. This application performs the prescribed assessments of the conditions. After that, messages passing the assessment test will be attached to documents being just processed on database level.

Due to its simple user interface, users having average computer skills and experience can easily use this application. Therefore, marketing messages of standardized documents can be created without and special computer knowledge. Acceptance and modification of prepared contents should happen according to user’s authorization level.

The input connections of the FlowLogic system are realized via so-called Virtual Queues. The physical manifestation of these queues can be numerous. On the mass demand route, due to large volumes, file-based communication is the most practical. On the on-demand route the standard Webservice channel is the most often used, but database-based connection is an option too, on both the mass and on-demand routes. The system defines application specific implementations, such as the virtual printer in the case of SAP ISU system, which, in a broader sense, can also be utilized in other systems.

The QM module performs monitoring the documents completed within the FlowLogic system. Control is carried out by checking the layouts created by a random selection or pre-determined sampling from different groups of documents. The control process can be completed in a multi-level authorization hierarchy, thus providing multi-level approval requirements. Users can select and display the patterns on a dedicated internet interface, where they can also make the assessments. The process can be continued according to the results. The DataControl module provides automated and/or manual checking logic attainable on the data of the source systems, typically at the beginning of the process, which is otherwise not possible in the source systems. Such controls are primarily needed to compare and cross-check data coming from many companies and different source systems. High-quality custom reports provided by FlowLogic DataControl ensure constant control over the workflow, decision-making in terms of necessary interventions, and the overall quality of the process.

Future documents will be delivered to customers through different electronic channels without using paper and printer. Their certification has to be made in compliance with legal requirements. FlowLogic brings the solution by managing electronic signatures and time stamps coming from any standardized electronic service provider.

The Archive module of FlowLogic meets the criteria of both disaster tolerance and applicability of archived objects, whilst putting special emphasis on data security required by organizations. This module archives digital mass documents at high speed in a short time, and makes sure that customer services and clients have access to the documents in due time. The archive system also supports the process of viewing and creating copies.

The Audit & Reporting module has a double purpose. First, the state of every single document, whether coming from the Batch, the On-demand or the Interactive route, is registered into the system. This is a large volume of data which affects the needed storage capacity of the database manager. Narrowing the scope of gathered data is also possible (not every change in status, not every route, etc). Documents can be discarded from the Audit system based on their expiration period. This selection process can be configured and logged in details. The second essential task of the module is to uniformly log every single user interaction and system event on the entire FlowLogic level.

Working with a large amount of layouts means a large amount of data.

Layouts contain resources such as images, script snippets for common tasks, data files, and even binary files.

FlowLogic's Repository modul can be used to store and manage these layout resources , layout versions, and make the whole workflow of layout development easier and centralised.

 

 

 

 

 


 

Layout design

PReS

PReS is an integrated development environment – a software tool for custom document creation and document management systems. PReS is capable of managing inputs of various formats. PReS documents can be texts, pictures, graphics, barcodes, integrated or calculated data. By using conditional logic, PReS is suitable for creating completely dynamic documents where content and layout can be modified according to input data. You can prepare business reports, dynamic balance accounts, customized insurance policies, direct marketing letters or other kind of documents.

PReS Designer

PReS Designer is an interactive WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) front-end application connected to PReS. Thanks to its simple graphical interface, it enables creation of complex highly personalised documents quickly and easily. After completion of the layout, it automatically generates documents for printing. Excellent choice for agreements and direct marketing letters for example, where individual layout is of great importance.
